The Charlotte M. Hoak Pygmy Forest is A 5 acre parcel of Pygmy Forest located on Comptche-Ukiah Road in Mendocino County, California.
Directions:
Starting on Hwy. 1, just south of Big River Bridge, drive East on Comptche-Ukiah Rd 2.5 miles to 42280 Comptche-Ukiah Road. On the south side of the road, across from the "42280" sign you will see a dirt turnout with a small "trail" sign beside a telephone pole. Park in the turnout. The trail begins next to the sign. This is the only entrance to the Charlotte M. Hoak Pygmy Forest.
